Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for Commercial Property

 

 

 

An EPC is now a legal requirement  and should be provided with  sales or letting details. The EPC  will inform the potential buyer or tenant  about the energy performance of the building.

 

To produce the EPC the Energy Assessor  will undertake an onsite survey to  capture data which will  include the  construction details, glazing ,activity , heating ,cooling ,ventilation, lighting etc. Using  a government approved software package an energy calculation is produced . A recommendations report is also produced which  can identify areas where energy improvements can be made.

 

Any information which can be  provided by the client  such as floor plans , equipment logs etc. will help considerably with the assessment.
